Hugo the Dog mentor

We are so lucky to have a school Dog named Hugo. He is a trained dog mentor.

He lives with our Head teacher, Mrs Collis, but when in school he works with many children and helps Mrs Griffin, one of our learning mentors, support children. 

Hugo is trained to help children in so many ways. Some of the things he can do are:

Listen to readers

Help with speech and language

Act as a reward time 

Help with emotional regulation

Help with sleeping difficulties

Help with routines

Calm children when anxious
