Thirty hours free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds
All 3 and 4 year old children in England are entitled to 15 hours universal free childcare. Some 3 and 4 year old children in England are entitled to 30 hours extended free childcare (15 hours universal + an additional 15 hours).
Charlestown offers children either a part-time or a full-time place based on what the child is entitled to.
If your child is eligible* for 30 funded hours, you must register with www.childcarechoices.gov.uk at the start of the school year and then at the beginning of each term to renew. Once registered, an 11 digit eligibility code will be issued for you to provide to school. This ensures the school receives full funding to allocate your child a full time place once they have completed an effective part-time transition.
*Am I eligible?
- Under £100,000 adjusted net income per year.
If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible.
If parents/carers require further help please contact our School Business Manager, Mrs Bailey on 0161 740 3529 (option 5) or email her on[email protected].
